Bioactive Index is a set of plain-language guides to research compounds. Each guide says what the published studies tested, what they found and how strong the evidence is.

Why this site exists

A lot of writing about peptides and similar compounds is hard to read, or it promises more than the science shows. We wanted guides that a person with no science background can read once and understand, with every source listed so anyone can check our work.

How we write

Published studies only

Every claim in a guide points to a published study. We link each one in the text and list them all at the bottom of the page. We do not cite blogs, forums or supplier data sheets.

No health claims

We do not say that any compound treats, cures or prevents anything. We report what a study tested and what it found. That is all.

The evidence level is on every guide

Each guide carries a label: Preclinical, Human Trials or Mixed. It tells you at a glance whether a compound has been tested in people or only in animals and cells. Our editorial standards explain the labels.
