This page explains what information Bioactive Index collects and what happens to it. We collect very little.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you sign up for the newsletter. You choose to give it. It goes to the email service that sends the newsletter.
- Server logs. Like every website, our host records basic details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the page that sent you here. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure.
That is the full list. We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this site, and we do not set cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and the cookie policy first.
How we use it
- To send the newsletter to people who asked for it.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Other companies involved
- Vercel hosts the site and handles the server logs.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser fetches them from Google, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
- Omnisend is the email service used for the newsletter. It stores subscriber email addresses.
These companies may process data in the United States and other countries.
How long we keep it
- Newsletter email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link.
- Server logs are kept by our host for a limited time under its own retention rules.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Use the contact page and we will reply within 30 days.
Depending on where you live, the law may give you further rights over your personal information. We will honor any request the law requires us to.
Children
This site is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new date.
